Matt Simpson

Matt Simpson began following Christ early on in his childhood. God has guided Matt in many ways and paths on his journey to serve Him. Matt moved to Prescott Valley in 2015 with his wife, Liz, for a work position.  Already parents to two wonderful children, Graham and Natalie, God led them to adoption where their family expanded by two more. Destiny and Sierra joined their family permanently in 2017. It was through this unity and the love of the body of Christ, that Matt's walk with God, his wife, and his family was drawn much closer together and strengthened immensely. His goal in life is to reveal to others that God alone can fill the gap for our human imperfection - through His gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior. -  For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

They started worshipping regularly at Open Door Baptist Church in 1985 and subsequently joined the church and became active in various capacities. Elizabeth, their daughter, was born in 1989, and her adoption was complete in 1992. Doris went home to be with her Lord on July 23, 1996.  Paul has served in our church's Sunday School, youth and AWANA programs and also had an active part in the camp ministry.
