Two Sunday evenings per month, Night Lights is scheduled for our church teenagers following the Sunday Evening Worship meeting. During Night Lights, we have a Bible study conducted by Pastor Tom, followed by a time of snacks and fellowship. It is designed to last for 90 minutes.
The purpose of Night Lights is to encourage and equip young people to be faithful to the Lord during the difficult times of their teenage years. Young people face great temptations as they go through middle school and high school. They are often surrounded by ungodly or apathetic classmates, and they hear instruction that goes against the Word of God. Night Lights helps them to keep their own spiritual life strong, as well as prepares them to be an influence for Christ in their own communities: home, school, work, neighborhoods, etc.
Our theme verse is Philippians 2:15-16: "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the word of life."
